Music Therapy for All – India Tour’s 1st session celebrated at Kutch on Durga Ashtami

The Give Vacha Foundation and Krup Health have launched their much anticipated ‘Music Therapy for All – India Tour’ on the auspicious occasion of Durga Ashtami. The inaugural session took place at Ahalya Kanya Chhatralay in Anjar, Kutch, and marked the beginning with first session of this 50-day, 25-city journey, all under the mission ‘Let the Music Heal.’ In this session the music therapist couple Dr. Krupesh Thacker and Dr. Pooja Thacker served the ‘Music Therapy for Happy Periods’ and ‘Music Therapy for Brain Rewiring’.

A Sacred Beginning

The session started with the ceremonial lamp lighting and Devi Pooja to honor Durga Ashtami. The presence of young girls (Kumarikas) added spiritual significance to the event, as they participated in the blessings and rituals. This sacred moment set the tone for the first music therapy session of the tour, with a focus on helping young girls manage their health and well-being through music and holistic practices.

Music Therapy for Happy Periods and Brain Rewiring

The girls at Ahalya Kanya Chhatralay received specialized training from Dr. Krupesh and Dr. Pooja Thacker on ‘Music Therapy for Happy Periods,’ which helps alleviate discomfort and emotional distress during menstruation. The session emphasized the use of music therapy to balance hormones and relieve pain, empowering the girls with natural techniques to manage their menstrual health. In addition to this, the participants learned about ‘Third Eye Activation’ through ‘Music Therapy for Brain Rewiring,’ which aids in improving concentration, cognitive development, and emotional balance. The session focused on stimulating the brain’s neural pathways with music, creating a foundation for better mental health and focus. Dr. Krupesh Thacker led a guitar music therapy exercise session, demonstrating the therapeutic power of music in calming the mind and energizing the body.

Dr. Pooja Thacker, an expert in Ayurveda, shared insights on the benefits of Yoga and Ayurveda for maintaining balanced menstruation and overall hormonal health. She also explained the importance of balancing the seven spiritual chakras through music and Ayurveda, emphasizing the connection between the body and mind.

A Message of Empowerment

During the session, Dr. Krupesh Thacker expressed his gratitude for beginning the ‘Music Therapy for All’ tour on this significant day of Navratri. He expressed “It is my pleasure to start this journey with the blessings of Devi and these Kumarikas. This initiative aims to create awareness for daughters, sisters, and mothers about maintaining hormone balance through music and spirituality during menstruation. We will also be training mothers on how to use music therapy for physical and mental health during pregnancy and menopause.”

Dr. Pooja Thacker further explained the importance of music and Ayurveda in balancing the body’s energy centers. “Our body and mind are connected to the seven spiritual chakras. Through music and Ayurveda, these chakras can be balanced, helping us stay healthy.”

Looking Ahead

The program concluded with heartfelt thanks from Sejalben Manwar and Ashaben Patel, assistant sisters at the hostel, for the valuable training imparted by the doctor couple. Trustee of the institute, Mrs. Nayanaben Thakkar, expressed her gratitude and shared her enthusiasm for the next session. “After receiving the blessings of these daughters, the next session will be held at an old age home in Kutch, where we will serve the elderly with Music Therapy for Anti-Ageing.”

Throughout the tour, he will visit various cities, conducting sessions in orphanages, old age homes, hospitals, schools, colleges, and corporates, offering group and personal music therapy treatments to people of all ages.
