In a historic milestone for Gujarati cinema, Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad, a Gujarati Clubfoot Awareness feature film written and directed by Dr. Krupesh Thacker, has become the first Gujarati film to reach GRAMMY® Awards consideration. The film’s official soundtrack album and its songs have been submitted for consideration across 13 categories for the 2027 GRAMMY® Awards, bringing Gujarati cinema, Indian musical traditions, the Bhagavad Gita and the nation’s National Anthem into an international music conversation.

Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad became the first Gujarati film to reach Grammy Awards with many Clubfoot Anthem songs to Crush the Clubfoot Stigma.

Created through the creative ecosystem of The Krup Universe, with Krup Music and Give Vacha Foundation, the film draws inspiration from the real-life journey of Guinness World Records title holder Parv Thacker, recognised as the “Youngest Singer.” The project brings together music, cinema, family and social impact, transforming a decade-long journey into a message of resilience, inclusion and possibility. Through its music and storytelling, the film carries the vision of Awareness Through Arts, taking a deeply personal story from Kutch to Hollywood and Gujarat to Global.

The Soundtrack: Clubfoot Anthems with Powerful Messages

The film’s featured soundtrack songs celebrate family, cultural identity, patriotism and spiritual wisdom, each carrying a distinct message connected to the film’s larger mission of challenging clubfoot stigma.

  • “Pappa Mara Superman” | The Clubfoot Caregiver Anthem: A musical tribute to fathers and caregivers whose love, sacrifice, encouragement and unwavering support help children navigate life’s challenges. It is in consideration for Record of the Year and Best Asian Pop Music Performance.
  • “Melodic Notes of Jana Gana Mana” | The Clubfoot Patriotic AnthemA musical presentation of India’s National Anthem, celebrating national pride, unity and belonging. Its place within the film connects the journey of a child and family with a larger sense of identity and citizenship. It is in consideration for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
  • “Bhagavad Gita Adhyay 12: Bhakti Yog” | The Clubfoot Spiritual AnthemInspired by Chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita, which explores devotion and the path of Bhakti Yoga, the composition brings India’s spiritual wisdom into a contemporary musical setting. It reflects the strength, faith and inner resilience at the heart of the film’s journey. It is in consideration for Record of the Year.

The film’s musical vision extends beyond these five featured songs to a planned collection of seven anthems, each celebrating a distinct aspect of family, cultural identity, patriotism, spirituality or clubfoot awareness. The official film theme song, “Resonant Roar of Hanuman,” also known as The Clubfoot Anthem, is an integral part of this larger musical journey.

GRAMMY® Awards 2027: Thirteen Categories

The official soundtrack album, Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad, is in consideration for Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album, Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and Best Album Cover. Parv Fusion Band is also in consideration for Best New Artist.

Together, the album and its individual song entries account for 13 categories in the 2027 GRAMMY® Awards For Your Consideration campaign. The inclusion of music inspired by the Bhagavad Gita and India’s National Anthem further brings Indian spiritual traditions, cultural heritage and national identity into the film’s international musical journey.

The campaign also represents a family-led journey within the Recording Academy. Three doctors from the Thacker family are Recording Academy Voting Members: Dr. Krupesh Thacker, Dr. Pooja Thacker and Dr. Shashikant Thacker. Their involvement brings together medical backgrounds, music, cultural storytelling and a shared commitment to using creative work for social impact.

The 2027 GRAMMY® Awards First Round Voting is scheduled for October 12–22, 2026. This period marks an important stage in the current awards cycle as the campaign presents Gujarati cinema and its music to the Recording Academy voting community.

Cinema as a Vehicle for Awareness through Arts

At the heart of Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad is a larger social purpose: challenging stigma surrounding clubfoot and encouraging society to recognise every child’s potential. The film connects the work of Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv (GCAP) and Music Therapy for All, initiatives of Give Vacha Foundation, through the shared philosophy of Awareness Through Arts.

The campaign’s central motto is “Crush the Clubfoot Stigma.” Through music, cinema and Awareness Through Arts, Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad seeks to challenge misconceptions about clubfoot, confront social stigma and encourage a more inclusive world where every child is recognised for their abilities and potential. Its message is clear: Every Child Has the Right to Rise Like Arjun.

Rather than presenting clubfoot only as a medical subject, the project uses music, storytelling and cinema to bring forward a message of acceptance, family support and opportunity.

The film and soundtrack are led creatively by Dr. Krupesh Thacker, who serves as writer, director, lyricist and composer. Parv Thacker and Vacha Thacker are the lead vocalists, Dr. Pooja Thacker contributes to music recording, and Parv Fusion Band handles programming. The project also brings together three generations of the Thacker family through music and filmmaking, with Dr. Shashikant Thacker and Naynaben Thacker serving as project producers.

Speaking about the milestone, Dr. Krupesh Thacker said:

“Our objective is to take Gujarati film music to a global audience while bringing the Bhagavad Gita closer to the younger generation. The GRAMMY Awards platform will give this work momentum. For us, this journey is not only about music or cinema. It is about using our creative work to challenge stigma, inspire families and carry the message of Awareness Through Arts from Gujarat to Global.”

From the Previous GRAMMY® Season to the Next

The GRAMMY® journey connected to Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad builds on an earlier milestone. During the previous GRAMMY® season, “Resonant Roar of Hanuman,” also known as The Clubfoot Anthem, was part of the 2025 GRAMMY® Awards For Your Consideration campaign through Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1. Rooted in the Sanskrit Hanuman Mantra, the composition is the official theme song of Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad, connecting the film’s story with the wider mission of Global Clubfoot Awareness Parv and Music Therapy for All.

The composition also received an official nomination in the World Music category at the 2026 Hollywood Independent Music Awards (HIMA), extending its journey across music and social impact platforms.

Looking ahead, Dr. Krupesh Thacker and Parv Fusion Band are working on the final anthem song for Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad. This upcoming composition will complete the film’s planned seven-anthem musical vision and is intended for consideration in the next GRAMMY® Awards cycle, extending the project’s musical journey beyond the current campaign.

Recent International Recognition for The Krup Universe

The film’s current GRAMMY® campaign follows further international recognition for Dr. Krupesh Thacker and his family’s creative work. At the Global Music Awards, “Parv – The Youngest Singer” won a Bronze Medal in Children’s Music, while “Sounds of Sanatan: Vol. 1” won a Bronze Medal in Meditation.

Together with the HIMA nomination for “Resonant Roar of Hanuman,” these achievements reflect the continuing international journey of music created across children’s music, Sanskrit-inspired compositions, spiritual music and purpose-driven storytelling.

Through Nanakda Pagla Bhare Haranfad, The Krup, together with Krup Music, Give Vacha Foundation and Parv Fusion Band, continues its commitment to creative expression with a purpose, bringing regional stories to international audiences while using music and cinema to advance awareness and inclusion.

From Kutch to Hollywood. From Gujarat to Global. Through music, cinema and Awareness Through Arts, the journey continues.
